Havard
Being a typical male, I have struggled with my responsibilities as my wife is away with work. After collecting both kids 5 & 1 from School and Nursery respectively I set about making tea for us all. I decided that eggs, chips and beans were the order of the day and whipped up a fine meal quick sticks....... The eggs were getting a bit fiesty so I put the gas hob down to minimum. I served up all the food and some stuff for baby and all was well. Took the plates back into the kitchen and left my plate on the hob. Got the kids some desert and things were peachy. I was sharing a rice pudding with Joel (1) and then I heard an explosion from the kitchen accompanied by the sound of breaking crockery!! I rushed into the kitchen to find this............ http://img71.imageshack.us/img71/3186/pict1319wx0.jpg http://img71.imageshack.us/img71/3186/pict1319wx0.0db178bf7e.jpg Looks like I had left the hob on, on a low setting and forgot with all the excitement. The plate must have been mad hot and shattered all over the kitchen after turning the remainder of the beans black!! Oh well, looks like I owe Mrs H some new crockery!! H. Pixelfill
I came back from a 2 week holiday the other year to find I'd left the hob on it's lowest setting from some soup we'd made before we left. Given that the cats were roaming free (a work colleague had been looking in on them throughout the fortnight) I'm surprised I stil had a house when I got back Nicely done by the way Paul Mike
