Supra Size Me
just bought this for 30 pounds but mine is restricted and fixed with a filter so it cant pop ballons and burn matches etc, its 240 nm with wave length of 532mw. Check out the beam its so powerfull. If i was to de restrict this it could pop ballons and burn matches check the link i just took some pics of miine I don't want to be a party pooper here but that laser is exceptionally dangerous and could easily blind you or someone you care about permanently, and the wavelength is the figure in nm and power level is in mW so if your laser is greater than 0.5 W (500mW) then I think you'll find reading this link quite interesting : http://www.asu.edu/radiationsafety/laser/appn_C.html In a nutshell don't F*CK about with lasers as no retinas = no more driving supra mmmmmkay ? For the record i'm daft as they come and have done all kinds of stupid sh*t over the course of time, but there are some things you just have to steer the f*ck away from bud.... jazz1
mate iv pointed this in my eye and im not blinded although that was not a good thing to do, like i said this laser especially the ebay one, which iv got has a filter so its restricted compared to the ones you buy from the net that have the same wave length etc but they are not restricted hence why they burn stuff:). Although i wont be that stupid to point it in peoples eyes and at people:tongue:
adnanshah247
DUDE!!! TAKE MY ADVICE ON THIS!!! THROW THAT THING AWAY. A HAD THAT LIKE 5 MONTHS AGO. MY COUSIN WAS IN THE GARDEN SHINNING IT ABOUT AT NIGHT, POLICE HELICOPTER WENT PAST AND CALLED THE COPS ON MY HOUSE SAYING THAT WE WAS SHINNING IT AT THE CHOPPER. MY COUSIN GOT NICKED FOR 'EN-DANGERING THE PILOTS LIFE' AND MY HOUSE SEARCHED INSIDE OUT TILL THEY FOUND THEM. in the end they let him out after a night but trust me the police decided that instead of going after murders they should send 2 bmw's 1 astra and 1 van to my house for a lil light! All because you had a sticky key? You could have saved all that hassle if he'd just gone to Pissy Werld...

I agree, not a good idea with red lasers anyway, but due to the wave length of green lasers pretty much anything over 5mW can damage your retinas quicker than the blink reflex. They have their uses (for astronomy etc.), but not for pissing about in the woods shining at peoples houses, pets etc.
jazz1
cheers dude i guess il stop using it then, but im going to store it away, i tested this yesturday in my garden and was so shocked how far it goes, you can point this at stars and see the full beam just go past the clouds:blink:
ozz
Just use common sense. Shining it in your eyes, unlike your laser, isn't that bright! The animals love chasing our laser around, I'm careful not to catch their eyes. ATEOTD most things can be dangerous if used incorrectly, speeding supra, knife in kitchen draw. Just enjoy the laaaaazerrrrrr.

juanchan
Some tw*t had one at the IoW festival and was shining it dangerously close to peoples faces for my liking, including mine! IMO a waste of £30. A novelty that will lose all appeal after about an hour of blinding people.

merckx
the wavelength is the figure in nm and power level is in mW so if your laser is greater than 0.5 W (500mW) then I think you'll find reading this link quite interesting : ha ha I was just going to put him right. Hobgoblin
I have one of those really small ones (lasers), I think it came in a Christmas cracker. Its the best toy the 2 cats ever had, they will chase it around the floor for ages. It also acts as a lure to get them indoors when its their bedtime. Carl_S
be careful jazz1, if you fiddle with it too much it can make you go blind, Use it responsibly. Don't be tempted to set it up around your supra with mirrors so that any pests get dettered.
