umm, can you not turn off the TC when driving normally (presuming the car was fine?) i'm sure i was able to do that quite freely before all this pelarva?

The logic I eventually arrived at was as follows.

The ECU picks up the speed signal from the speed sensor and tallies it with the ABS rings, due to the fact the ABS rings aren't reporting back it assumes there is a traction issue and engages. During this time the TC can't disable because it assumes it is currently active.

At a complete stop, it was able to disengage.. It might work, and it would certainly answer one question quick enough :)

I just get the distinct feeling when they reshelled your car, they didn't change the hubs over to the ABS hubs which would give you this issue....

ummm, could be, not 100% if the shell i bought came with the hubs, will have to wait till i get home so i can look at the info i have...

And don't forget you can do the quick diagnostic check to see exactly what the ABS is whinging about :) that should help.

Cheers Ian, tried to do the diagnostic think last weekend but when i bridged the sensors in the port nothing happened :(

Robshef said it might be something to do with dry solder

I really feel for you there Matt. I though being ripped off of about £8k many years ago by a 'Garage from Hell' was bad enough. I do hope you get it sorted. I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end. Hopefully not that far away either ! :)

Hopefully mate :) £8k is still a world of money to lose mate, cr&p hey.

Guest HyperSports

Hi Matt

It's Chris. Just been keeping up to date on the forum. If I could spend a moment to fill you in what has happened at Hyper over the last month.

For a while now, I have been thinking about changing direction, and it's been in the pipeline for a while, but at the beginning of June, Paul took over Hyper.

Sorry to hear your issues there matey. I am no longer associated with Hyper, so my comments should be unbiased. I have not 'done a runner'. It was mutually agreed that the business and assets were sold to Paul, and he is now the owner of the 'new' Hyper.

There has been a lot of goings on whilst this transitional phase has been happening at Hyper, and I feel sorry for you but also for Paul and crew. You and I both know they are more than capable of doing the job, but I guess with all the sh!t going on there this month, they have just been too busy to finish the whole lot. I know Paul mentioned that you wanted the car back for the VIC test and understandably, as it's been off the road for ages now!

It's no skin off my nose at all, but if I was in your shoes, I would approach them with the list on the above post and ask them to sort it out FOC. Up until now, whist I was there, I beleive you had good service from Hyper, and it's only the same guys minus myself. If you want to talk about it either on here or on PM, then please feel free. I think it's worth giving them another chance.

Just my 2P worth. Good luck with which ever way you go.

Cheers Chris
