FuR
hi all, any idea on this? i was going pretty fast when suddenly it appeared that lots of smoke was coming out of the exhaust, so i instantly backed off the throttle and shortly after the smoke disappeared and then went completely, even when i revved hard there is zero smoke and at no time was there any unusual noises from the engine etc so all seems ok now? but where could this smoke have come from, a blockage or the turbos or something? thanks all
Marco
Was it black or blue smoke? Have you got any mods? Could be over fueling?
SteveR
could be oil dripping onto something (e.g. exhaust, or 2nd turbo/pipework), that then got burnt off when you booted it, and hasn't vbuilt up again to repeat the smokey incident.

markssupra
Check your autobox fluid level. Mine used to do that and I found that a garage that done some work on it had overfilled it by 700ml I know you said its coming from your exhaust, but I thought that as well. Guest h7ust
yes overfilling with oil will cause it to smoke
Ian C
yes overfilling with oil will cause it to smoke Really? Why's that then, and by how much do you have to overfill it to achieve that? -Ian
Guest h7ust
it will be forced up by the pistons and get burnt in the chambers, very bad to overfill, worse than having low oil.

SteveR
i dont really wanna get under to drain, and halfrauds dont sell a syringe :-( Drive round with too much oil in then, and ruin your engine. It's not hard to get to the sump and then drain a little out.
