as5606
Yesterday, I was giving it a bit of welly up a slip road, toying with a BM (as you do) and I noticed the Red Exclaimation mark came on on high boost of the second turbo (1.2Bar). I eased off a bit an it then started to flicker and went off. Worried me slightly since I suppose this is the first real hard push I have given it since all of mods done for BPU (see signiture). Anyone know what the possible cause of this is.
Gareth Davies
Did the brake light come on as well (the (!) symbol as if the handbrake was on). A fair few people have had this, usually related to the brake fluid level but also potentially meaning you need new pads(?) I know that's what it was on mine. The only other thing I can think that does that is fuel cut or potentially a dodgy speedo conversion. However this usually leaves the ! on until the car is switched off. as5606
I don't think that it was the brakes because I recently topped this up as it was starting to happen (pads have a few thou left on them). Could be the speedo conversion. I also have a de-limiter fitted (not done by me) and a fule cut defender so I hope that it was not cutting out. I am taking to the Chris Wilson Surgery this weekend for a checkup. Hopefully he can find out the problem.
JamesG
My car does the same occasionally on high boost. The fuel is cut for about 0.2 seconds on my car. I suppose it is cut until the boost drops below a predetermined level. The exclamation light comes on when this occurs and doesn't go off for about another 5 seconds. Maybe your fuel cut defender is incorrectly set? James.
Ian C
I've had this flickering light for two reasons - one, slightly low brake fluid. Two, one bonnet catch not being engaged correctly and at about 120mph+ it flickers the ! and the door open warning light! -Ian
