GlennK
Had a grinding noise coming from the rear of the car - always when turning right. Never when turning left. It started to grumble a bit when going straight ahead too so I bought a 2nd hand one off Keron from a 96 low mileage model. Just fitted it today and - the grinding noise is still there *@@*!! Had both rear wheels off looking for rubber marks in wheel arches. None. Checked prop shaft, wheel bearings. Fine. Checked brake pads. Ok. Emptied boot. No difference. Other than a bad coincidence that I've got a defective 2nd hand Diff from Keron I'm lost for a solution! Any suggestions please? Thanks.
bignum
Have you checked your handbrake shoes, thinking.
Chris Wilson
I could have said it is almost certainly NOT the diff Hub bearings are the most likely cause, or a sticking caliper.
johnd-mkiv
sounds like wheel bearings have you checked for slack?
