hadyn
Just had a rather nice Blitz boost gauge fitted and im hitting 0.8 bar in my auto with both cats in and a dragger cat back. That sounds pretty healthy on the turbo front non?
hadyn
after a few more spirited test runs today im now finding the car is hitting 0.9 bar when the both turbos are on. This is quite impressive as i've always considered the Super Dragger to be more of a restrictive system than say a Nur Spec
Nic
Stock is around 0.8bar so sounds about right for your mods, get the cats out and get it running set to 1.1bar and you will be amazed at the difference it makes
hadyn
yep cats will be coming out soon, but first thing will be to fit a walbro fuel pump to make sure its getting enough fuel to match the increase in boost... i thought bone stock was 0.7 bar? baojun
Can I set to 1.2 bar with boost controller when the 2 cats still on?
Nic
Can I set to 1.2 bar with boost controller when the 2 cats still on? You can, but at 1.2bar with both cats in you will get high exhaust temperatures due to the restrictiveness of the cats, so I wouldn't recommend it. What other mods do you have, I would make sure your intercooler is in good condition first before upping the boost. To run 1.2bar safely you really need to remove at least the first cat (one nearest the turbos) fit an uprated fuel pump and make sure your IC is in good condition IMO. I would also recommend getting it on a dyno to make sure everything is okay.
