supra61
didnt realise 25 was considered young lol, 25 today as well! Well...if 25 is considered young and the avarage age of all of you guys on the forum seems to be 45, you're all old enough to be my dad lol.. Pig
Looking at the damage i would let the insurance company write it off and get yourself a fresh one. Dont bother messing about with buying it back. It will end in disaster if you dont know what your doing or have a friend in the business.
Chris Wilson
If I were an assessor that would definitely be called a write off, and I can easily see 5K in a professional repair there. Sorry about your mishap, but that's how I see it
pedrostar
I crashed one of my old supras (not badly) mainy suspension damage and a headlight and a wheel, and it was only an N/A so to stop them from writing it off I took it to my local bodyshop and gave them Jezz's number to source all the parts from, they faxed a quote to my insurance company using Jezz's parts and it got accepted was that the one I'm driving by any chance? bonus_2000
Mate, I would seriously have just tried to source the parts second hand and just put it back together yourself instead of getting your insurance company involved. Most of the front end bolts on anyway. If it was a light impact like you say it was, then there shouldn't be hardly if any structural damage there. Think one of my mates has a few bits and pieces left over from the car he was breaking if you want me to find out. Either that, or the car Homer was dismantling the other week would probably have plenty of what you need right there? Just a thought? Good luck in what ever you decide to do with it.
