Ewen
Who owns the Fish? 1. There are 5 houses in five different colors. 2. In each house lives a person with a different nationality. 3. These five owners drink a certain drink, smoke a certain band of cigar and keep a certain pet. 4. no owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar nor drink the same drink. THE QUESTION IS - WHO OWNS THE FISH? The Britt lives in the red house. The Swede keeps dogs as pets. The Dane drinks tea. The green house is on the left of the white house. The green house owner drinks coffee. The person who smokes Paul Mall rears birds. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill. The man living in the house right in centre drinks milk. The Norwegian lives in the first house. The man who smokes blends lives next to the one who keeps cats. The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill. The owner who smokes Bluemaster drinks beer. The German smokes Prince. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house. The man who smokes Blend has a neighbor who drinks water. OhGod
two fathers and two son's sat in a boat fishing. how many people in the boat? From the way it's phrased - I.E., no mention they have to be related - the answer could also be 2.
Scott
From the way it's phrased - I.E., no mention they have to be related - the answer could also be 2. That was my initial thought when i read it before the answers were up. They are both fathers as they have children and they are both son's as they both have fathers. tbourner
THE QUESTION IS - WHO OWNS THE FISH? The German?
lexsum
The German? correct, but you have to make one assumption, the position of the 'first' house is ill defined. but if you assume it is first on the furthest left then the answer is as follows: Brit, birds, milk, pall mall, red, no.3 house Swede, dog, beer, bluemaster, white, no. 5 house Dane, horses, tea, blends, blue, no.2 house Norway, cats, water, dunhill, yellow, no.1 house German, FISH, coffee, prince, green, no.4 house i did do it from scratch and took about 10 minutes, any more?
