Scott
MPG around 20 Things to look out for: Just take note that the engine is meant to sound broken.

garethr
When I was looking at these 5 or 6 years ago I was told that they have a tendency to hole pistons if given a prolonged thrashing without being adjusted for our fuel (but that may have been on 95 octane), and that the transition between the turbos is rubbish compared to the Supra. If I was after a fast estate now, I think I'd go for a Stagea (and LPG ), although there's no manual option. I've seen decent ones (well, decent looking, at least) go for 2k on eBay. marcAB10
my mate had the Legacy GT TT Auto and loved it. he picked it up for 2.5k two years ago and traded it in to get his R32 GTR. probably one of the best bits was the awsome boxer rumble
Scott
boxer rumble? Sounds like spanners in a wooden bucket to me. They can be made to sound ok, but most go for loud exhausts which make it sound terrible. They say its meant to sound V8'ish but it does for the V8 soundtrack what electronic dump valves do for the dump valve soundtrack.
marcAB10
well he went for a subtle 3inch inward rolled backbox and it sounded like a quieter impreza. very nice sound indeed. it suited the car perfectly
Scott
To be fair i think it looks a lot better than the impreza estate. Even looks more practical. Whats the build quality like? The interior in my mates legacy was horrid, it was pretty old though.
marcAB10
the interior on his legacy was very nice, clad in a light gunmetal suede that looked brand new. he had absolutly no trouble with the car at all and build quality seemed good.
