Scoboblio
Never heard of one, but obviously a 4 hour tape on LP will record for 8 hours

Supragal
I expect it depends on the VCR. You could on mine but it was state of the art (at the time )

Aerotop Dave
DVD-RAM? Pffft, dead in the water matey (yeah okay, I know the panny E55 can record on other formats) I've got the Pioneer 220, but I think DVD recorders are just a stop gap. Give it five years and it'll be hard disk recorders all the way.

I have a friend at Sony who told be about 2 years ago that they were thinking about stop making them back then.
Supragal
what'll replace plasmas then?
terribleturner
If your in the market for a new tv then go for an LCD one. Plasma are expensive, the parts are expensive and they don't have a very long life. Plus with Sony pulling out of the plasma market soon, it's only time before evryone else does. Supragal
Don't worry I wasnt planning on it, never been a big fan although they can look pretty impressive. Projector territory here! And when I can afford it LCDs indeed in the other rooms...
