doing the final setup of the brakes, front ones finished, all good. Moved to the rear brakes and the one side is rubbing, bugger!! :banghead: So I get the bright idea of spining the wheel while I listen closely to find out which side... bang!!! brand new clip in pedal smacks me in the head!! :stretch:

I now have nice cut on my forehead, some swelling and the missus absolutely balling herself at me...... :slapped:

Your lucky you didn't have a set of the old shark bite pedals or you would have needed stitches !

I slipped off them once when going through a trail, needless to say it is a mistake you make only once :D

pic of the pedals:

i was once back pedaling the chainset cleaning the outer ring with my finger, then.. all of a sudden my finger got caught between the chain ring and the chain, putting 3 holes in my finger :D that hurt! one was straight through the nail..

And..

Been hospitalised twice with concusion, destroyed 2 helments as a result, snapped 2 frames, split a wheel in half (still have that) snapped a riser bar, broken my thumb - thats about it really.

A good few years ago back in SA, was riding home on one of the silly racer bikes (I never wanted one but my dad insisted, he thought mountain bikes where a phase....), and my foot slipped off the silly metal pedal and it shot round and the leading edge decided to go through my achilles tendon at a pace and subsequently did a lot of damage...BOY that 2 mile ride home wasn't much fun.

Just realized I must sound like a right HSSE nightmare :)
