If I'm understanding you correctly, I believe you are referring to the pipe that is to the left of the below picture. The one with the bolt in it. Also you can see the pipe where the hose attaches to the pipe that if I remember correctly went to the tank under the intake manifold:

yes thats the one , do i need it or can i blank it off at the canister end and just join the two pipes together where the tee was?

I'm no expert but I don't think you need the tank/can the hose attaches to, so no need to connect it through. You will need to blank the pipe from the T/B though. I removed my charcoal canister, so I'm not sure what to do with the pipe leaving the canister, sorry Matt.
