marc_p
I have a problem! after doing the following, the car is still overfuelling and I don't know what's causing it? Changed O2 sensors Reset ECU (did this by disconnecting battery for an hour) Changed spark plugs Oil change Standard air box and filter on I don't know what else it could be but the car does pop quite a lot and I get about 200 miles to £65 of fuel driving sensibly (that's not booting it at all) If I boot it the fuel economy is rediculous, I'd probably get about 100 miles from a full tank. So, any Ideas, it's just at the moment i'm spending a fair few hundred a month on petrol. Cheers Marc

supra_si
have you replaced the fuel pump? that is quite high economy as i get about 100 miles to 25 quid on my twin

Pig
Could it be the fuel pressure regulator (or what ever it is they have as stock) Or more likely i would say an injector might be stuck open (maybe take them out and get them cleaned) Please be aware my knowledge is rubbish
supra_si
yeh good spot, fpr could be dodgy, not much to change either

Well injectors have moved to top of the list as that's the cheapest and easiest to check.

The stock fpr is the easiest to check. I had an overfuelling problem for months which is now sorted so if you need a hand, drop me a PM. RobSheffield
Removing and checking injectors is definitely not easy at all!
supra_si
and injectors actually cost quite a bit
