Looping Water Slide

That looks quite brown-trouser. Waiting for that trapdoor to open would be a bit nerve-wracking. When I went to a water slide park recently, I was too scared to go down those slides because they were near vertical half-way down (saw some people actually lift off from the slide).

WTF? What happens if you somehow go over the side?

That's what I was wondering, death I guess.

Edit: There looks to be a portion to each side that you don't see on the vid above.

The ride is called Jumeirah Sceirah, there is a small vid on http://www.wildwadi.com/ that shows you a bit more of a view of the edges. It's walls still aren't that high / wide though...

This Wild Wadi place in Dubai looks impressive scary...

I remember many years ago I was in a water park near Santa ponsa(shagaluf almost) and a woman was on the Kamakazi slide

There were 2, one beside the other and one had an immediate drop of about 20metres, the other a more moderate approach then a drop of a similar length, you were to race each other to the bottom

The woman riding the thing got hysterical after the word go, flailling her arms about and trying to catch the side, you were almost out the bloody thing and the result was her head hit the shute side after almost falling out

She never regained conciousness, that particular shute was shut thereafter, although strangely enough the other was allowed to continue

The best park I've been to is Lido De Jesalo in Italy, you ride on dingies and various inflatables and the scariest bit was actually carring a two man dingy up the tightest spiral staircase I've ever walked up. Because of the length of the dingy and the radius of the staircase, you had to walk on the inside, felt like a bloody mountain goat. Oh and no handrails either. Did hit 110kph on the way down the chute though.
