supradriver
I have been having this problem with my back driver side wheel for a while now and I don’t seam too know what the problem is? The problem is as I am driving I get this really load clunking from the hand brake drum? As I slow down I noticed the clunk only happens at one point in the drum, as the wheel goes round it will go clunk then do a whole turn then clunk again? I have changed all the springs and the shoes and I still have the clunking? Also a while ago I took it to a garage too have the wheel bearing done and I new hub then all this started too happen. I took my car too a different garage and when he took the drum too bits he found 1. the nut that is on the end of the wheel bearing was loose 2. and there was no bottom spring in it(tension spring) thanks for reading and I hope you can help me. JustGav
Surely I'm missing something, if they found that hub nut was loose then the solution is tighten it up correctly, and if there is no bottom tension spring fit one? Or am I missing something?

supradriver
Could the bearing be knackered as it was not properly tightened?

JustGav
As above wheel bearing... However, I've recently seen a supra that had a similar issue with the hand brake, and when the drum was taken off, bits fell out, namely a spring and some fixings from the the handbrake system. supradriver
This is what we don’t understand lol other than that spring being missing and the nut being loose every thing looks fine. But with a bit of hope I will put a new bearing in it and see what happens. Thanks for the help.
