Guest DrifterWanaB
Hello all The prev owner of my car had it parked up for long periods, and obviuosly didnt wash it, the result is there loads of ptitting on the roof where bird crap has ate quite badly into the paint I have used poorboys SSR2 by hand (scarred of using machines), but the pitts are just sooo bad they must be down to the primer as they are white in places. Poor boys balck diamond glaze does conceal them a bit, but still really noticeable Other than that has any body got any tips of the trade etc other than respray? JustGav
Yup, use a machine Unless you are Arnie Seriously, I use menzerna stuff with a rotary and the results are fantastic. If you get an orbital with stuff such as SSR2.5 and 1 (and the menzerna's) you should be okay as they contain lubricants.
Dnk
Not a lot you can do if its eaten through the laquer, base colour and is down to the primer, bird s*** is evil stuff and should be got off asap, cant see how polishing it will help to be honest. Stonkin
You could make it look hugely better with a machine, but if there are too many pits and down to the primer, then it needs respraying
