toyotasuprauk
Wow, i cant believe Toyota would design the car so badly that you have to go through all that to get to it, really bad design! Good luck getting it all back together again.

Its allready back together apart from the carpet which is being valeted . Dude

lovatt
i agree dude, pipes underneath so it could be unclamped, then a slot at the bottom, it would have been so easy and would have taken about 3 mins to change,

Gaz Walker
Now its just a case of argueing with the warranty company that you cant do it in 4 hours! The Toyota book quotes 10 hours - that should be enough to convince them. Gaz.

Thats interesting GAZ , can you confirm that for Ross , the Auto data book gives 4 hours !!!!!! this one was over 14 but that was taking out the carpet and everything else and putting right a lot of wiring . TLicense
Nice! I had the matrix go on my GT-Four. I'm sure at some stage in the build process of these cars there's just a heater matrix trundling down a conveyor belt and then a car get's built around it. I paid over £1K to have the one in the GT-Four changed by the way (Mr T would have done it for £700 I was told aferwards ) I did try doing the job myself but got unstuck when I'd got the dash out, but had to remove all the air-con stuff to get to the matrix. I would have to say someone didn't have their thinking hat's on when they came up with this beauty.
