1JZGTE
hi everybody. if i am to keep a twin turbo standard apart from: 1. cold air intake 2. FCD 3. exhaust 4. electronic boost controller ...would there be much point in fitting 3" diameter piping? i spoke to two exhaust places today just to get their opinions and both said roughly the same thing: 2.5" pipe is good enough for up to 340bhp. anything over and 3" would be better. bearing in mind that the above mods are as far as i am going to mod it, will a 2.5" (60mm) exhaust be ok or should i really be looking at 3"? Homer
There is no need for a 3inch exhaust pipe on a BPU supra, the stock size piping is perfectly adequate. Also, forget cold air intake, they tend to do the opposite Before commenting on the rest, is yours a UK/export spec or JDM model?
1JZGTE
Thanks Darryl. Quick q - why would a cold air intake from, say, bottom of front bumper be worse than an HKS mushroom filter which from reading I understand collects loads of sand and other crap? Homer
Sorry mate, think I misread your post The best possible intake system for a BPU car is the stock one, so get your hands on one of those and forget the aftermarket tat.
