tooquicktostop
Had an idea for my NA Supra as it is sitting doing nothing while it waits for my GF to pass her driving test It is fully taxed and MOT'd and it is a shame to see it every morning doing nothing, I thought about hiring it out. weekly/monthly to the forum first, but then perhaps that would be pointless as most of us have one already so perhaps in the local paper, I would need to see full insurance cover, but what is the legal situation, can this be done ?? I like your train of thought BUT wouldnt you be concerned about non members either crashing her or ragging the arse off of her... If i was you and you DO want to do this, imho, i would only hire her out to member's because you know she will be looked after...
tooquicktostop
It would have to be fully comp, you can get a policy that covers you for as little as a day, I used one for the Coombe Abbey racing day, I know it would get driven hard, but better than never driven at all

SilverSoop
Yes of course , but as I said most members have one But it would be very handy for when member's Supra's are in for repair or having engine/body upgrades... Because i know i definetely would like to hire a Supe out when mine goes in...

edge
This has been discussed a few times and people have gone into depth researching and its not cheap mainly being the cost of insurance needed plus as mentioned above it will be thrashed well and truely. I know i would.
AlexM
It'd probably be crashed within a week, better to sell it and buy another one when the time comes.
marbleapple
You'd have problems with insurance and have problems if someone was injured on your car. They'd sue you for faults etc and unless you have a type of insurance which is aware that you are hiring the car out I doubt a standard insurer would cover you.
