boxst
Hello I should know better, but I don't! Although I thought my tyres were fine, I have noticed that they have worn almost completely away on the inner rim (all 4 of them) so I need some new tyres. At the moment I have 255/40/17 on the back and 235/45/17 on the front. What make should I replace them with? The cheapest vs quality seems to be Dunlop 9000 (Z). Any suggestions appreciated. Scott
What is your budget? Make sure you factor in tracking as yours sounds way out.
boxst
Who would I get to adjust the tracking? Is that something the Toyota garage would have to do? I was looking to spend £500- £600. The Dunlops are £520. Steve
Chris Wilson
Has the car been lowered? If so it sounds as though the geometry wasn't reset to accommodate the lower ride height. I find Uniroyals an excellent tyre for their modest costs.

Basic tracking is easy enough for any garage, if you want a full alignment and geometry setup its better to go to a specialist. There are a few of them dotted around the UK, if you do a search on here you might get lucky and find one local Now.. tyres... You actually have a good choice for that budget. I would probably go for either Goodyear Eagle F1's, Toyo proxies or Bridgestone Potenza. The most expensive of the above are the Bridgestone's at around £130 each for the front and rears. Check out www.mytyres.co.uk All prices include postage. Most of the time i go with them.
boxst
It hasn't been lowered, it is an 'out of box' Japanese import (that I've had since new). Steve
colsoop
Get a quote from Speedwells (Ibrar, a trader on here) he should be abvle to get a reasonable price on tyres.
