Carl_S
key fob does not open the door. No beeps or anything. The blue light lights up when i press a key so the key fob battery must be good. What should i do next? Dont want the alarm to go off and me not be able to stop it.
Scott
pretty sure you can stop the alarm by entering the car, putting the ignition to the on position and typing in your key code.

Carl_S
sorry pete. Im posting from my mobile. Thanks for deleting the other thread. Spoke to the clifford installer just now he said to look in the car to see if the alarm light is on. If its flashing then im in trouble unless i know the valet code. If the light is on but not flashing then i can open the car. He also said he services clifford alarms for only twenty five pounds plus parts which sounds great. Dr_Doom
This happened to me last week with my toad alarm! I changed the battery and even got a lift home to get my spare fob but to no avail. Tried opening with the key but the alarm went off and wouldn't stop so i had to pop the bonnet and pull the negative cable off the battery!. I ended up calling the RAC and it turned out that the signal was jammed by phone masts etc.. (he tested it with a little box he had).. I couldn't believe it but we pushed the car up the road & the alarm worked!! I thought this was a one off thing but turns out it happened to a guy at work the other day too.. This was a factory alarm on his Impreza!!
Carl_S
The mystery of my alarm has been wholly solved and has a happy ending. I had left my HIDS on at 8:45 when I parked my car. By 11 am, the HIDS flickered off, and the battery was drained. When I returned to the car, the clifford blue light in the car was unlit, so I was able to enter the car without the alarm going off. RAC came and, to my extreme relief, jump started the car successfully and I went home. Thanks guys.
