Apparently opinion is split over the looks but I think it's a delight to behold... 4300cc V8, mid-front location, 460hp, 7 speed DCT, ceramic brakes as standard,

And even nicer when it's not red...

the blue is the "proper" colour for this particular car. The original was blue.

I quite like it. It's got shades of the Alfa 8C in there and that's one of my favourite styled contemporary cars. In some ways it looks like the bast*rd child of the 599 and the 8C and that's no bad thing.

I like.

How can you not like the 599?!

599 like the r35 is missing the wow factor. They are not ugly cars. If I was to spend as much as these cars command in price I'd expect a jaw dropping reaction the first time I see it.

When I first saw a diablo/testarossa/rx7/supra/xj220 all those cars made my jaw drop.

These dont.

Fair enough. First time I saw a 599 I couldn't pick my jaw up from the floor. Its sweeping lines, abrupt angles and pouncing stance just make me want to drive it until the end of time. It's subtle, but with all the bits in the right places; she's one sexy animal. The suspension, engine and gearbox are all impressive new-age race derived engineering. If I could open the garage and see that staring at me every day my life would be complete.

To be fair, I may have some sway against that 599 as there is a guy who owns one who drives through the city of london every friday about 5:30-5:45 sharp, which I see when I wait for my mate.

He smokes a big fat cigar in it with the windows shut. I dont know if its envy/or anger at him and the car because he is smoking a fat cigar in such an expensive car with a v.smug look on his face. lol
