bolarbag
Do Motec not have there own or a preferred supplier for them? No, they dont supply them by the looks of things in their parts catalogue I might go for the A`Pexi one or just keep the HKS solenoid but it be a shame to just use the controller as a display and its brand new so I'm better selling, the a`pexi one looks well built though Sorry bud kinda put off aem stuff after their ecu and cam gear troubles, lost me a lot of cash! Wez
Speak to RyanG, he can get the AEM/MAC solenoids and they work very well
SimonB
Owen's installed mine as part of my install, I assumed it was a Motec item. You could ask them.
Hermit
ACDelco... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?p=870154&highlight=delco#post870154 Dunno where you can get them in the UK, but should be a fair bit less than £70. The one I've got is a GM part (made by ACDelco), I think the ACDelco part number for it is 214-474 (I've no idea if that's the same one Chris uses). It was $
Ryan.G
Mac 3 way valves are the best i have found. Same valve aem use if you pull of the aem sticker and half the price Motec use Delco 3 way valves but have a small orifice which can cause problems. bolarbag
Cheers for the info, yeah delco seems the norm for motec I do see the aem used regularly on all the good build cars, cant be that bad But now reading through that thread, they all mention that the boost delivery is better with an ebc How can this be when the motec resolution is far higher than the ebc's, and just say for example I used a Blitz solenoid, why would the delivery be any different from the motec output?
