markus99
Its starting to get up my nose, but grass is always greener i guess. If we took the money who would we replace him with though i don't think ronaldos the be all and end all, 60/70 million would buy you two outstanding playes, huntelaar/benzema. Also if you check the stats, torres might have scored maybe only 5 less league goals (not sure exact figure) but ronaldo had twice as many shots! He doesnt come up with alot of assists either, so the chances are still likely to be there, just would need some1 else to convert them. Ronaldo is probably the best in the world at the min (messi maybe the exception). But i think he does owe alot of it to the likes of rooney, tevez, etc and the players he plays with, theres no way he could have the same impact at madrid (a distinctively average team currently, beaten in the cl by a not very good roma team)
garetheves
I love Ronaldo to bits and wouldnt swap him for anyone, but towards the end of the season i got the impression his ego was getting a bit too big. He would lose the ball, recieve a bad pass, get tackled and claim a foul, and instead of running back to help the team he would stand there sulking, waving his arms or put them on his hips. Not the actions of a team player. If this is a sign of things to come then id take the money and run, it can only see it being more a problem in the future and may as well cash in on him now. This latest issue only adds to my feelings about his ego and lack of effort as part of the "team". Who would we replace him with?? One offer thats ben banded about is the Robhino/Alves/Diarra + £60 swap. If this is a genuine offer then id snap their hands off. Robhino would be a decent replacement for Ronaldo (especially if we bought another striker - Benzema - with the money), Alves is an awesome right back and evening tho Wes has been a mountain this season, it is another position we need cover in. Diarra is the only one im not fussed about as our midfield is strong enough. But like i said if the above deal is genuine then id be taking it. If he bucks his ideas up and realise how much potential he has to develop under Fergie (and lets face it he wont get that in Spain), then id love him to stay at the club and would settle for us only buying a main striker over summer. Balls in his court at end of the day. Depends if he wants to develop more as a player at a club where the fans idolize him and where he can go on to win many more accolades as a player and team, or whether he wants to go for the glamour life in Spain. RiceRocket
It'd be interesting to see what the transfer fee would be? Start a sweepstake? Put me down for 63m sterling
waderz06
I agree with garetheves. Robinho is a hell of a player and still young enough to grow into another United legend. Ronaldo will fade into the background if he goes to Real Madrid just like so many other top class players. He's a great player but his attitude is starting to p**s me off now. Muffleman
I'm no Man Utd fan but I am a football fan, and Alex Ferguson is the manager that makes a team work, regardless of the players. If the big headed little sh*t bag went elsewhere, Man Utd would be fine. Let the fairy go

steb9780
Torres scored about 7/8 goals less, and didn't take any free-kicks or penalties. Also his debut season. He also played Stevie in for a good few assissts too.

Maybe/maybe not, don't forget that Liverpool outscored Utd. in all competitions last season. They had 6 players into double figures. Torres got 33, Gerrard 21, Kuyt 11, Crouch 11, Benayoun 11, Babel 10. Whereas United where abit of a one man band Ronaldo on 42, Tevez 19 and Rooney 18. They were the only ones to get into double figures. Liverpool scored 119 goals ManUre scored 109 goals in all competitions of course. Many thanks to Havant/Derby/Luton for rolling over but a special mention for Besiktas Real To Offer Ron £300k A Week- Report Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to offer Cristiano Ronaldo an astonishing £300,000-a-week after tax to move to Spain. The Spanish giants are desperate to persuade 42-goal Ronaldo to leave the European champions in a mind-boggling move to the Santiago Bernabeu. But United say they're confident he'll stay, and will fight all attempts to prise their star asset away from Old Trafford. Although Ronaldo has yet to publicly confirm that he wants to leave United this summer, Real are preparing to up the ante by making it clear they are willing to make him the highest-paid footballer in the world. According to The Daily Express: 'The five-year contract on the table is worth a mind-boggling £75m' and 'Real have also made it clear that the huge offer will not be on the table in a year's time.' MaveriK
Cristiano Ronaldo says he wants to leave Manchester United for Real Madrid. He told Terra: "I would like to play for Real Madrid but only if it is true they are ready to pay what Manchester United ask of them. However, it does not depend on me." As quoted earlier if Ronny goes we will just get some one else and re-build the team. After all how many "big" names have been sold and Utd in the last few years have still been there.
