Guest mattsupra
how does the passenger seat come out of the car please? i have plastic covers over where i think the bolts are and i was wondering how the head rests come off the original seats as im wanting to put screens in please? forgot to ask this too lol how does the rear seat come out too please? i am taking it all out to do an ice install to make it easier as im using 0-2-4 gauge wiring and it would be easier to take the whole lot out to feed the wires through thanks matt Edited June 3, 2008 by mattsupra (see edit history)
Jake
Yeah the plastic covers hide the bolts; two in the front and three at the rear. Check under the seat for electric connectors before lifting the seats out of the car. There's a guide to removing the headrests on mkiv.com What's the point of screens in the headrests? I guess it's for the benefit of the guy in the car behind you, right?
Pabs
each seat has 5, if not 6 bolts. These are all under the plastic covers that are on the end of the rails. Simply remove these, and the whole seat will lift out. Electric drivers seat will have electrical connections, but passenger one won't. Back seats - sharp pull upwards on the front edge will release them from the clips - the rest is pretty self explanatory.
