heckler
ok, Having finally bought UK rear brakes to go with the front, ideally, do you need to change the master cylinder, as I am assuming the UK/Jspec are a different size/bore?
Chris Wilson
They'll work fine with your stock brake master cylinder, no need to change it.

bolarbag
Is the UK spec Brake master cylinder bigger tho? Is there anything to prevent people using different Brake Master Cyclinders from bigger brake cars when upgrading to a BBK?
Chris Wilson
No, you can use different bore size cylinders, so long as you can mount it. If you are doing something radical it may be better or easier to make a dual master cylinder set up, lose the ABS and be able to adjust bias from within the car, and choose master cylinders to suit front and rear caliper piston areas independently. I did this on my Skyline, if you want a nosey the pics are at ftp://ftp.chriswilson.tv/Skyline_Stuff
