michael
Wanted - 9005 HID kit, 4300k bulbs. Have you bought any recently? If so where from and how much? Does anyone have a set for sale? eBay is full of the cheap Chinese ones which I'm tempted by as it's for the daily driver but I'd rather get some that someone has tried and liked. I have some from Nic on the Supra but ideally want new ones this week so he's not an option sadly.
jamesmark
All the HID lights I have had have been from Ebay (3 sets in total). I have never had issues with them and paid circ £80-£90 for them. Before I sold the last Supra I was tempted to Purchase those ones at £20 odd to see if they are any good. I am sure someone on here did try them and had no issues. Multics
I've bought a few kits from this guy, great kit and has all bulbs in all temps in stock (most of the time). http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HID-XENON-CONVERSION-KIT-H1-H3-H4-H7-H11-9006-9005-D2S_W0QQitemZ350064271783QQihZ022QQcategoryZ23009QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Supra786
Try Knight-Racer, I bought a set of them as did others on their group buy. Although I haven't been bothered to fit these yet others have and had no problems. They cost £80.
jamesmark
FYI I bought my last set off these guys. HIDs Direct Was pleased with delivery and quality. Plus cheaper than so called trader on here (not you Nic )
michael
Try Knight-Racer, I bought a set of them as did others on their group buy. Although I haven't been bothered to fit these yet others have and had no problems. They cost £80. The main issue I have with the Knight-Racer ones is price - they offer a group buy to a captive audience yet charge over the odds in comparison to other suppliers. And out of the group buy you are looking at ~£100 plus P&P I believe. Thanks for the other links though, I'm happy to go with an eBay set (even if they are £30 Chinese ones with a mark-up) but wanted to hear from people who had them already before taking a stab in the dark (get it?) with an unknown set / supplier. spartan
I bought these ones (or very similar): H.I.D Conversion XENON KIT HID H4 H8 D2R D2S 9005 9006 I thought, for the money, I couldn't go wrong (although the P&P is OTT). No problems here - quite the opposite. However, I did 'invest' in one of these: HID Fuse Relay Wiring Harness Lighting Headlight Lamp Made fitting a doddle and hopefully should prove more reliable. michael
Some of the sales patter is funny: HID consumes twice less energy Less energy it uses, less petrol your vehicle consumes Less petrol consumption, less harm to the environment

jamesmark
I've gone with these ones, hopefully they will improve the candles I have at the moment With that kit I never used the harness that came with it. I never seen the point of it tbh.
michael
With that kit I never used the harness that came with it. I never seen the point of it tbh. I'm hoping that I can use it with the kit that's on the Supra because it struggles to power the lights on at the first flick of the switch, no idea why but all the earths are fine, I even upgraded the earthing to rule that out. It's a PITA to be honest.

Not wanting anything for it. Let me know as I have no use what so ever for it.

Might be handy to have a spare set for full beam if the price is right
