the news!!!

I've bought this supra cat D etc etc :D who was in this forum!!!

 

But rapidely, i've begin the job!!!

 

so, sorry for my english, there are word who are so complicate for me!

would it not be best to get a new roof panel if poss?

 

thats a lot of filler on one part of the car

 

surely its going to crack with the flexing?

 

good luck with it all and at least you have saved a supra

He's taking it off! Not putting it on.

 

EDIT: Crap no think your right, took filler off then put it back on again...........I'm comfused :(

thats what made me think it was already cracked etc lol

 

im not sure about the ammount he is putting on tbh :search:

Nice project mate...

 

As to what happened...its looks like...

There WAS 1.5cm of mastic on the car (bonnet and roof) and you can se the 3d mountains of it in the first picture or 2.

 

It looks like some scum used tile adhesive and possibly stuck the bits of tiles to it that you can see in one of the first pictures...

and these were then removed leaving the mountain of adhesive.

 

Mastic would have come off more easily I reckon.

 

So hes sanded the entire car (nearly) back to bare metal in preperation for a (much needed ) respray....

 

Thats my guess anyway :sly:

OH MY GOD!!! they used that amount of filler on the roof?! must of had a pretty big dent, roofs can be fixed pretty easily, this one had only light skims of filler to prep for paint...
