Result! Don't supose you know how to disable the auto locking on a Clifford? I just know that sooner or later I'm going to lock myself out :(

I was playing with the Cliffnet the other day and thought it would be a good idea to enable it. How wrong was I? Three days later and I'm swapping the cars over in the drive and mange to lock myself out of the car with the engine running. Luckily I was at my house so no drama, just get the spare.

I don't fully understand some of the settings in cliffnet (such as the auto-lock at RPM - where do you set the RPM it locks at??)

I don't have the lock upon auto-arming feature on, but I do have the auto-arming on. That said, if I switch auto-arming off, it makes no difference at all - the LED does still start flashing after about 30 seconds regardless - I think this is the immobiliser etc kicking in though.

Yes - the majority of the settings can be changed from the main keyfob. However, you'll need to know which alarm you have to then download the manual - then you can figure out which button sequence it is to change the setting you want.

Cliffnet makes it much easier (assuming you have the cliffnet port somewhere in the car?)

About 2000 - that's generally when I'm on the move.

sorry - bad wording on my part - HOW do you set the RPM to lock at?

Currently mine locks instantly, which is annoying as I reverse out of the garage, and then the missus needs to get in, but the door is locked... (perhaps that's a bonus lol)

ahha... usb -> RS232 converter?

I know you can get the G5 cliffnet wizzard which uses a usb cable, but would it work with g4 system?

Si - I have the G5 Cliffnet wizard on my Concept 600 (G4) and it works fine.... at least it seems to.

Hello,

I know this is an old thread but maybe someone can help.

I have the 50.7 and there is a communication issue somewhere. When I hit the arm, dis arm try to remote start they all work, the problem is that the keyfod indicates otherwise. It makes a weird sounds and does not show that the function was successful even though it was. I bought a new keyfob and programmed it correcty. I am thinking the problem is in the alarm unit it self. Does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks...
