I'd say 15ft/lb would be nearest the mark (20Nm).

I know I did my split rim bolts up tighter, though, They were M7 and I calculated the torque for those. It wasn't 30ft/lb though.

Used some threadlock, too. Loctite 242 or 243 or an equivalent.

A4 100 grade bolts are one of the stronger stainless bolts but will require a higher torque than the lower grade ones.

Using threadlock will lubricate the threads before it hardens and this will reduce the tightening torque that's needed.

15ft lbs might be just about right if lubricating the threads with threadlock.

15ft lbs and a dab of loctite on each one is the way to go by the sound of things then.

Most other people ive asked say the same so i'll go with that.

Cheers guys for your input, most apreciated.

Thread resurection.

I'll be refitting mine later this week hopefully, Dunk, did you fit new bolts or reuse the old ones. The wrench I have only goes down to 20 ftlbs, is this ok or will I have to find a smaller one?

ta

I bought brand new bolts and nuts from a place in Germany, not cheap but very high quality and great service.

I'd get a smaller wrench :)

Cheers Dunk, I'll prolly clean the old ones up as I'm just going to keep these now, not worth selling.

Also I've just checked the wrench & it goes down to 200 inch/lbs (approx 16 ft/lbs) you think this will be OK? My mate is bringing a smaller one round if not

Will you fit them to the Supe or do you have something else in line?
