michael
That's good advertising Looks pretty awesome too - I'll be having a copy of that once someone gets bored of it and sells it on for sensible money.

Thorin
Wasn't that impressed with the GRID demo really. With GT the handling and car control just feels right and connected to the road. Kinda hard to explain but with GRID (and NFS) the cars seem as if they're too light and skating around on the road. It was ok, just more arcadey feel than GT's simulation feel. Whitesupraboy2
ooooo, when does GRID come out? Today From playing it now, the best way i can some it up is cross between PGR4 and Forza 2 / GT5. Not simulation but not stupidly arcade. And although not my thing the drift mode is actually very good and great fun. The replays are excellant and like Gran turismo replays in the way the cameras work.
Pabs
I'm going to grab a copy of this today I think - just waiting for my lunchbreak. Was due to get it for my b.day last Sun, but as it wasn't out I got some others instead, which now need to be returned as one has a dirty great scratch on it and won't play! marc_p
Today! Today Went to Morrisons just now, saw it, bought it, want to go home and play it now
Pabs
yep - bought it too! Actually quite happy that it was cheaper than first advertised - on pre-order some places had it listed at £45/£49.00, but it's only £39.99 everywhere now
jonahjones26
played the demo touring cars the best!
AlexM
I was really looking forward to this, but the demo was awful! Poor physics, poor handling, completely unrealistic breaking, dropped frames.. I'll stick with GT5P/Forza2/PGR4 .
Marco
It's not an advert, it's a comparison vid made by a fanboy. It's funny though... I played the Grid demo at work a few times and really like it! The handling is spot on. I'd buy it if I had a 360.
Whitesupraboy2
Just found a demolition derby mode in it Im sold

I have to agree, I too was disapointed with the demo for the same reason. The drifting is rock hard and not really realistic.
Pabs
played it briefly tonight - and can agree with the car feeling very "skittish" on the road, doesn't seem to have any real grip. But still good fun! (and hard)
DodgyRog
I got home to it on the door mat last night. I was very disappointed, the frame rate drops so badly at times that the image actually pauses for a split second, making it impossible to control the car smoothly. This is the Xbox 360 version, anybody else had this issue, as I have email codemaster's, who have done the general it's your xbox reply. So if someone else has noticed the same problem can you let me know and I will email them again. Hopefully they will get a patch out quickly
lust2luv
It's not an advert, it's a comparison vid made by a fanboy. Yeah, it's not a clever viral advertising campaign or anything.

Well they should make an advert like that, not exactly showing GT5 at it's best, but god they made GRID look good. Shame my fav TORRENT site just went down. Scott
In the Ad all of the Grid video is just that, video. The comparisons to GT5 are ridiculous, looks like the first comparison is a slow hatch in GT5 against something mentally fast in Grid. I do agree about the lack of damage in GT5 though. Very very good advertising though.

Very very good advertising though. Also the GT footage was all either actual game play or replay footage... The GRID footage appeared to be mainly pre-rendered video sequences. I might pick it up when the price comes down but I wasn't impressed by the demo. When is GT5 out?
Scott
Also the GT footage was all either actual game play or replay footage... The GRID footage appeared to be mainly pre-rendered video sequences. Yeah thats the point i was trying to make but i think i forgot half way through writing the first sentence lol I might pick it up when the price comes down but I wasn't impressed by the demo. When is GT5 out? Phew, i'm not going mad then. I don't have a PS3 or a 360 yet but one of the guys in the work does. He said he was getting GT5 for £20 and he couldn't believe how cheap it was. I tried to explain that it was the "prologue". I don't think he understood what i meant and he actually had me doubting that there was in fact an actual GT5 being released and not just the preview version. Am i right in saying the prologue was brought out as a demo of the online capabilities along with a demo of the new features, however, all rolled up into an actual full game? Thats got to be a first is it not?
