Computer help!! web pages not loading

Hi peeps, the laptop i am using (which ive had for 3-4 months) has slowed down loading some web pages and on others almost where it wont load the whole page....its getting so f******g annoying.

My desktop is fine, works perfectly on the same hub and loads everything and anything superquick but this laptop will take forever to load pages like ebay, findaproperty etc and ive gotta keep hitting refresh until it loads properly - its driving me insane!! only 50% of webpages load without issue.

Ive tried various antispyware/anti virus applications and still have the same problem. Im not technically minded when it comes to computers so if anyone could point me in the right direction or tell me how to make my laptop run normal again and load pages faster!!

thanks in advance

On Cable, using a motorola modem through to a Dlink wireless router running 4 terminals, the others have no problems this laptop is the only one giving me grief

So its the same as when you use the findapropery.com then.

Have you tried dissabling your AV/firewall for a short period of time and trying?

What happens when you laptop is on the network at the same time as the other machines and you are browing via the other machines?

Ive tried it without any firewalls or av running and its still the same, makes no difference with the other machines off

Its the laptop on the network at the same time as the others whilst using one of the others that im interested in :)

XP? if so, go to START > Right click MY NETWORK PLACES then left click PROPERTIES. Double left click on the network connection you use to access your network. Monitor the sent and recieved packets. Close all the programs that you think use the internet, what is the activity now?

all the machines are off except obviously this one...im running xp with vista style interface (which made no difference to pages loading slowly prior)

Turn the others on, leave the problem PC on and go and browse on one of the other PC's. What happens?
