Mr Deano
Hi guys, first off, Thanks for reading!! Basically, i've finally got my heart set on some rims and i'm not quite sure about what offset i need, the rims i'm after are 18s (Azev m) and come as 2x8.5"(235/40/180 front and 2x10"(2?5/35/18) rear, Ive phoned for info and i'm told these wheels are with a 45mm offset, i mentioned i was also trying to fetch my rear wheels out (not under but closer) towards the arches. Is a 45mm offset the correct offset for this mod? also, what are the appropriate tyre sizes? Also, is there a problem with brake clearence (uk spec brakes)? Any help would extreamly greatful Cheers
Jake
Can't help with the offsets but I know for sure that the Azev Type M wheels do fit over UK brakes. And very nice they are too.
Mr Deano
Cheers mate, i was told they'll fit over but you know what it's like buying things, they'll say anything to sell something
Lez
235/40/18 for the front 255/35/18 for the rear http://www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresize.html However, to keep the rolling radius correct on the rears with those rim size you could get away with 265/35 or even 295/30 but these would feel orfal. The offset is also OK
Mr Deano
So i'm good with the brake clearence and the offset, thats cool, but what will make it awfull? the tyre width? a 295/30 i guess Cheers
Jake
235/40/18 for the front 255/35/18 for the rear Don't folks usually go for a 275 section tyre on a 10" rim, that's what most Supra guys put on the 10" Lexus rims
Mr Deano
tyresize calculator's cool, cheers
Mr Deano
so it's a 275 tyre for the rear, thats cool, that's the usual for a 10" rim cheers
