Chris Wilson
If someone e-mails me a couple of high definition photos of the turbine impeller damage I'll ask my turbo man what he thinks caused it. That part number badge looks like it's years old, are these rebuilt units or new ones? Do they come in OE Garrett packaging with OE Garrett paperwork? Unit is 9 months old, brand new, never rebuilt... not possible to rebuild these so I'm told. If he can I would be interested to know, It's a week from going in the bin and I have 3 turbine housings for it. High res pics are at the beginning of the thread Chris. The dirt is there from the blow-by from the manifold.
Tricky-Ricky
I was told by either Turbo Technics or Turbo Dynamics that the BB core could be rebuilt, but its not that cheap, around £320 and generally its just as easy, and not a lot more to just replace them.
