tbourner
Other than seeing friends and family, the whole idea of 'living life to the full' goes out the window because you need money to do it, and most people spend their life working to get that money. Some people just borrow and borrow and do what they want, but that's on the principle of 'you could die tomorrow', what if you don't? Do you borrow loads of money and live the high life then 'hope' to die the next day? The alternative is to earn as much as you can and cover your retirement and older age with your family. Trouble is it's hard work, so when you're done you just want to sit on the sofa and watch TV. Most people choose this option of work to live which also results in not having time to see family and friends as much as you'd like. If you happen to get a good job or win some money somehow, it's a much easier choice, and people say money isn't everything!!
AndyT
I was just sitting downstairs 20 minutes ago thinking my dads 73 and I only see him and my mum every 3-4 weeks and it makes me sad when I think of the dreaded. One thing he taught me was to shake hands and greet everyone you know like its the first time you met them and say goodbye to them like its the last time you will ever see them Forgot that. Sound advice too I'm afraid.
