Guest rjchavez
I just joined this forum hopping somoene can shed some light on my situation with my '97 TT. I've been searching both this forum and the Internet for days to no avail. Just recently had several mods done the the car and now it keeps blowing the EFI 1 fuse after a it reaches 10+ psi. The shop who performed the mods spent a week looking at it and found nothing. Now they tell me to take it to a local Toyota dealer (Ouch!) Mods include Walbro fuel pump, rebuilt stock turbos, rebuilt alternator (we ran the car without the alternator connected and it still blew the fuse), BOV, fuel cut defender, new cams, springs, valve seals (they were leaking), etc. Thanks in advance for any ideas. Ian C
Unplug your wastegate VSV and control the boost with your throttle (or fuel cut) and see if it still blows the fuse. -Ian
Guest rjchavez
Just found this thread and would like to close it with the findings. It turned out to be the MAF which was defective and apparently sending a 'spike' burning the fuse.
