I've been using the search button, it truely is magic for answers ona TT lol

from what i've read hitting 120c offen isn't a good thing for a TT (i'm asume the logic is the same for a n/a???.) I've recently been hitting this figure alot( even on cold wet days) checked the oil fine, coolant levels fine.

Its not on massively long drives either, and its not like i'm sitting at 120mph either all the way

is this a early warning sign or......... is something not working right or is this right for a n/a compared to a TT?

Mine on dirving to work etc and on long runs stays at 120. I have tried various oils too am using castrol 10-40 semi synthetic now seams to be good and lasting longer than the rest, but still reading a temp of 120.

its fixed to a sandwich plate at the oil filter, so i was told when i had the car serviced.

to say if its accurate, is a hard one with out a sec gauage to compare to, but would have though so as the other 2 gauages are ok

I had a car in the other day (not a Supra) with some fancy Blitz gauges, oil temp was very high (130C after a bit of town driving). I probed with a K type thermocouple and digital readout, down the dipstick tube, and the in car gauge was a mile out. Got a MKIV here now with a water temp of 120C after it's warmed up, which is patently untrue, again a Blitz gauge.
