colsoop
For those who enjoy and appreciate the great outdoors Ray mears is back for a new series. It is a more thoughtful and relaxed approach to being out in the wilderness than Bear grylls but his previous series have always been interesting and enjoyable. Its on at 8:15 should you be interested

Pot
Ah good old Ray Mears, isnt it Ray Mears that the army hates? I thought it was that SAS bloke the SAS/Army hated for doing his TV programs... I can't see them hating Ray Mears?...
Daston
Why? Story goes he was one of 3 SAS servival instructors, each one specilised in different areas. he basicly stole the ideas from the other 2 and went public with his TV series and books, something thats a bit of a no no when it comes to the SAS

RedM
For clarity it was Bear Grylls that was a military instructor not Ray Mears. FWIW if I had to take one of them with me on a trip into the wilderness it'd Ray Mears.

SupraStar 3000
I love watching Ray Mears. The guys a hero. Did you seen that water bottle with the note scratched into. I cant make up my mind about Bear Grylls. He seems as hard as nails. I bet he'd eat his own turd if he thought it had any nutrition in it. But I remember reading in a paper that when available he would sleep in hotels and only pretend to sleep under the stars. Also, I watched a programe about him flying over mount everest and he came across as a right cry baby on that. Couldnt believe he was the same person.
