TLicense
Spent the day taking the Supe and the missus down to dunsfold for a day filming a couple of special edition shows of Top Gear for the USA. They've basically had to re-script all the links between the V.T. stuff, which was all repeats of previously done stuff. Cars featured included:- Ferrari Enzo Ferrari F50 Ford GT New Land Rover Dodge Charger They also had in the studio Pagani Zonda Morgan Aero 8 Bowler Wildcat nurburgring jag diesel some generic bmw We were there for the morning, in the afternoon they were shooting another couple of shows (well links) which I think was going to feature a Rolls Royce Phantom (it turned up just as we were leaving) and a Hummer H2. It was quite interesting as when they had a tea break the little one and James came out and chatted with us whilst Clarkson bolted for the door and wouldn't sign any autographs. He's also the only person allowed to smoke in the studio. Gave me a bit of an insight into all their personalities. All in all not a bad way to spend a valentines day! TLicense
I subscribed to Applause.co.uk /.com it took 18 month's of them sending me invitations to ready steady cook and shite like that to finally come up with the goods. I think it would be very difficult to arranage to get tickets for a certain show/series. Don't know. I didn't really get any decent shots. We figured they'd be really tight on any photography, so didn't take any camera's, then only to find they were more than happy as long as you didn't take any pics whilst they were filming. Gutted. The only shots I got were with my phone. Got some vid of the zonda, the enzo and the ford gt, but nothing really worthy of posting up. Again, gutted. Funny thing happened on the way though, Sat nav finally cocked it up, and tried to take us to the aerodrome via a back gate. Only thing was the gate was locked, and just in front of it was a massive fallen tree that I nearly didn't see as I was looking at the airfield that had just come into view out the rh side window. Hannah screamed and I put the new brakes into action. Our friends following in their fiesta nearlly rear-ended us! lol. Oh well. Cheers, Tony

Chiefgroover
About time those poofs arranged the Stig to drive a 800bhp plus well sorted Supra around their track, see what the lap time is? Now that would be worth going to!. :-)
Phoenix_TT
I've also been to see Top Gear, but didn't take my supra. It was really good day and was the one with the Diesel Jag around the Nurburgring and the Morgan Aero 8. Applied for tickets about 2 weeks before and got accepted the 1st time, how cool ! They also had a tea break and we got photos with Clarkson and Hammond, forgot about the other one! I also had a chat with Hammond about his Charger and I use to own a Firebird. Both Clarkson and Hammond were really friendly. Yep Clarkson was the only one allowed to smoke in the studio too. Could have gone to see the one filmed on Valentines day, but was busy and couldn't make it. Will apply again as I and rest of the party really enjoyed the day, and I will take the supra this time !
