Though my Aerotop had just been stolen

Went outside to get some paper work out of the Supe and it had gone !!. I started looking around in disbelief asking myself if I had parked it somewhere else.

As I was looking round I saw that signs had been put up since I had parked with NO PARKING DUE TO EDINBURGH MARATHON.

So I go back inside phone the parking pound and they tell me my car has been relocated a mile down the road. So I venture on my own little marathon and there she is parked up. I open her up drive back and park not even a ticket on it.

Must be my luck day :D

I saw something similar happen in Dublin once. A car was parked on double yellows (not sure if they have them, but it was road markings that meant no parking), police low loader had stopped traffic, picked the car up, drove about 3/4 mile away and dumped it into a legitimate parking space. They didn't appear to leave any notices or speak to anyone. Just moved the car then drove off as if nothing had happened!

Jesus, I would be furious if anyone touched my car, nevermind moving it down the road.......

H.

Yeah, ever so slightly...

How did they move a car which was locked? how did they pick it up...and more importantly why did the alarm not go off?

The alarm did go off the immobiliser was doing its stuff when I open it. I think they lifted it onto a low loader with a crane

I'd be fuming! Surely they're not allowed to do that! If they are then if you want to steal a car, put up signs over night saying there's a marathon and come back with a low loader, job's a goodun'.

Now thats an idea :D
