SUPRALOOPY
hahahahahahahahaha ur giving up training to play the guitar lol love it I'm NOT giving up training. Its just when I'm given a challenge I take it. And there is no use having a guitar if you can't at least try and play it.

SUPRALOOPY
I've already been banished to the back of the kitchen with headphones:( But here is my little set up and I now respect ANYONE who play guitar. Its bloody hard:(
chilli
yeah the headphones thing usually crops up pretty quick when practising lol most instruments are pretty hard to learn, the guitar is no exception. A little practise every day or as often as you can goes a long way though - keep it up and in 3 months time you'll be surprised how far you've come. Don't expect to be a Hendrix, Satriani, Santana, Via, Blackmore, Gillmore or Van Halen for a while to come lol
SUPRALOOPY
Who?? The funny thing is the only guitar based bands I like are the who and the kinks and thats only cos I was into the mod eara in 79-81 ish. I love reggea and should be learning Bass..lol But as said I've been given this guitar and I now want to learn to play it. So I will. Thanks for all your help chaps and I'll keep posting updates to how sore my fingers are. Dave :-
mplavery
i have been doing guitar for a while now and im always picking it up as soon as im in..lol learning from tabs is a good way to start you off but you really need to learn proper chords from a book or by taken lessons...when i started off , i was learning from tabs...then i started lessons but found out even though it sounded the same my fingering was wrong and took a while to sort it....
