Guigsy
Ive just sprayed my dash, installed a guage pod and moved my boost guage. http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/1951/imgp0556copyqn5.jpg Its a Defi, with a control box in the glove box. Im going to buy a new boost guage as i damaged the case slightly and i want it to match the new one. I was going to get an AFR but i dont think it will sit in the pod without some modifying and id also like everything to match so im going to get a defi EGT guage and a defi boost guage. However looking at things on the envy site there are so many things that go with the defi series of guages im just not sure what i need. Id like one of the ones that goes black when its not switched on (which my current one doesnt) But there are 2 kinds of guage on the envy site. one goes black the other doesnt. Can i use the new guages with the control box i have at the moment? Whats envolved with fitting the EGT guage. i assume there is a sensor somewhere. Which bits do i need to order? The guage, a sensor? which wires? there are so many things im confused as hell. Also what are the link indicators for? Nic
The Defi gauges come with ALL the sensors and harnesses needed for the install, you don't need any additional parts, other than perhaps a weld on boss for the EGT sensor To install the EGT gauge you will need to either drill and tap the exhaust manifold (best location, but harder to do) or have a weld on boss fitted if installing the sensor in the down pipe (easier to do, but does not give a true EGT reading as it is after the turbo). It is the Defi BF (Black Face) range you need, these will just plug straight into your control box. The link indicator is an optional larger warning light, it can be plugged into any gauge to give better warning. The gauges all include warning lights inside them already. Lebsteif
Is it the old style boostgauge, green with red needle? do you want to sell it (gauge) so you will with a complete matching set of gauges if you buy new ones.
