jevansio
Does the number after the T denote the compressor inducer diameter? I know my GT4088R comes between these 2 in the size scale, on the Garrett website it says the GT4088R has a compressor inducer diameter of 63.5, does this mean this turbo is the equivalent of a T63 (.5) so it's approx midway between a T61 & T67. The GT4094R has a 67.8mm inducer, does this mean is virtually the Garrett equivalent of a T67 in terms of size, power, spool?

b_have
I thought the compressor map for the gt4088 was similar to a T67.

Not sure mate, Since I've had this extra boost I can feel the turbo being strangled top end, was side by side against Michel today & considering he's got a 74mm turbo I was impressed with how responsive it was, & boy does it shift. I think the GT4094R is a direct swap for a GT4088R too, both 4" inlet, 2.5" compressor outlet, T4 footprint & 3" VBand exhaust.

kylestt
yummy!!!! Bigger turbo!!! yum yum!! I put a .96AR on my 67dbb and i didn't really like the lag it added. It made about another 40whp on the big end but daily driving it, it felt a little sluggish. I put the .81AR back on and called it a day. jevansio
T51 Kai BB is the only way forward for your car now Jay Don't know if I'm ready for something "that" big yet. On the other hand I don't want to upgrade to a GT4094R if there's not going to be that much difference.

Hey Kyle I love the 4088 but I have a feeling something T67 sized is going to be even better, I wonder if it's a case of the grass always been greener on the other side. Can you get hold of the Precision GT4094R's ????

Can you get hold of the Precision GT4094R's ???? Of course I can get them, PM when you are ready to start looking in to them. My personal experience is if your wanting just a little bit more, dont do it. Its not worth the cost to upgrade just for a few ponies. If your wanting a massive jump in size, then do it. The grass is always greener, is it worth the cost though

Alex
If you have spare cash, 2 maps and 2 turbos....you can have nutter mode and ludicrous mode And maybe top it off with Are you nuts?! mode In the UK the most I'd use would be a 71DBB....this is about as big as you cango without waiting for boost between gears. michel lane
The 74mm turbo that i have has no issues with boost between gears , i was astonished on how it spooled against Jays car. Both side by side starts and i just propelled forward. I find its the perfect turbo for my driving style .I suppose its all to do with the setup aswell, saying this my spec is virtually the same as Jays , apart from 272 cams apposed to 264.. michel lane
The AR on the exhaust side is .81 , its a SP dbb74 unit, not many people use this unit , slightly smaller then a HKS 51dbb spl I believe the HKS unit has a 1.01 ar and 76mm wheel.
