Changing TT hard vacuum hose lines - easy? Hose clips?

Hey all,

I've got some of those chrome vac hose lines lying around, and I want to fit them to the car replacing the non-chrome ones.

See part #3 on the attached pic to see which bit I'm talking about ;)

How easy is this to swap? I can get access to the front hoses quite easily, but the ones at the back look a pig to get to?

And what do people use to hold the hoses onto the hard pipes? Just tie-wraps, or some other clips?

I think clips would be much better/stronger, but I don't know where I would get some from or the sizes I need, and there isn't much point in going overkill on clips if the vac/boost in these lines is tiny.

Cheers peeps!

EDIT: I hope uzethedentist doesn't mind me using his image!

don't have the stock toyota compression clips mate - the reason I asked.

Previous owner replaced hoses with different coloured ones, and also used tie-wraps to hold them on.

I just wanted to make sure that the tie-wraps would be good enough.

If anyone has any tips on how to get to the ones at the back I'd really appreciate it. Quite tricky to get the things out with the strut brace etc in the way, but I want to give it a go at some point. :)

Not sure I want to remove the strut brace, but I suppose if it's only 3 nuts on either end then I probably should!

I'm pulling so much of the car apart now doing bits and pieces but trying to resolve issues at the same time... I hope she starts up next time when it's all back together! lol
