Mines Injectors

Recommended Posts

Its just dawned on me that MINES have a 540cc injector kit to go with their ECU. I thought I had both but it turns out I just the ECU....so here is a wild stab in the dark.

If I get 550cc UK injectors the MINES UNIT "should" then cope....after a bit of time to adjust. Is this just wishful thinking or a rare moment of fortune/clarity.

Hmm I really must talk to Options who apparently can change the MINES ECU map.

Just wondering do you have to order the 540cc kit with the ECU, if so it may mean that the ECU you get when you buy the ECUC+540cc kit, is mapped for the 540cc injectors.

I can't personally see how the ECU will "adjust" to the new injectors at WOT without some sort of intervention, as it will only be using the  O2 output (and therefore have an idea of how rich or lean the mixture is) when in closed loop (is that the right term always get confused with closed and open), when idling and cruising/like acceleration.

Correct, at WOT the injector duration is controlled by the map, not the O2 sensor, so for the critical areas of operation 9high boost, WOT) the map is either right or wrong for a given rail pressure and injector flow.
