HKS Stroker failure?

Does anyone know what kind of power leon @ JPS ran when he snapped his two crankshafts? Also how much RPM did he see on that setup?

It seems MVP and PHR claims the HKS stroker to be the very best 3.4L and well proven. Also that it will rev way past the 7500rpm stated by HKS.

I certainly wouldn't want to run such a long stroke engine over 7500, and I am sure HKS don't cite that figure just for the hell of it. Farndon made the cranks, originally, if you wanted confirmation of a safe limit you could ring them. Farndon Engineering, Coventry, England, UK.

I know you wouldn't rev past 7500 Chris, your oppinion on oversquare/undersquare/RPM's are well known by most ppl I think :)

but thanks I wil drop them an email.

On a side note, HKS always tend to be conservative on power claims, just take a look at their forgies for the RB.

Anyway, if anyone has information about Leon's issues please speak up.
