Throttle not working?

Ok Ive asked about on Soarer forums with no help except Jon (Hermit on here), hoping maybe someone here will have an idea...

It goes like this, Ill be driving along, gearbox in 'D', constant speed and throttle, when the car will suddenly freeze or lock, into a set RPM, and no amount of throttle will increase it. Can last from a second to 10 seconds. If I manually change to 2 the box will change gear fine, the revs will rise but the throttle input still has no effect. Then, as suddenly as it started the 'lock' goes away. I suspected tps, but when I plug into the emanage it shows its working fine. Also checked all the plugs to the sensors I can find with no effect. Im trying a different ECU to see if that helps.

Any help appreciated :)

Car spec:- Soarer twin turbo auto, emanage ultimate and profec b boost controller are the only non standard electronic things on the car at the mo

Do you have cruise control fellah? I had some issues with a sticking throttle (bit scary trying to stop a 330BHP rwd poonany grabber with the throttle stuck 3/4 open I can tell thee!!!) and it turned out to be a loose bolt on the throttle housing (cant remember which one now:rolleyes:). Start with the simplest thing first when diagnosing problems (a mantra born from experience!)

Hmmm, I seem to be liking my brackets this evening dont I!:D

Hehe the brackets are fine. Its not cruise related bud, I only use it on the motorway, the throttle cables have a bit of slack in them, its not holding the butterfly open, even if I nail the pedal nothing happen. Funny thing is tonight it felt back to its very 320whp best. Its so fookin annoying cos its so intermittant! I was hoping for a pointer as to which sensor to look at... Got some coming so Ill change them and see what happens
