turbobungle
Just got my car back from reputable tuner and now have lots of blue smoke on acceleration and on overun which wasn't there before. what should i do? Are my turbos knackered? Also, has anyone fitted Rota GTR wheels to their Supra? I'd like to know if 9.5" will fit on the front as i like the deeper 'dish' you can have with certain offsets on the 9.5" version of this wheel, any advise welcome! thanks

heckler
i have Rota GTR's, 8.5's on front, 9.5's on back, speak to Gaz@Envy. what did you have done at the tuner?

turbobungle
i'd like to 8.5s and 9.5s front and rear respectively but don't think the 8.5s look as nice as i'm told you can't get the offset to give the deep dish look. if 9.5s went on the front i was still intending to stretch 245s over them and havr 265 or 275s on te rear, would that stil mess with the handling? Are my turbos knackered? Unfortunately that could be due to any one of a hundred things. It's impossible to try to diagnose it from what you've said. Sorry to say, but the best bet is to get someone to take a look at it. Where abouts are you based?

Swampy442
Check the oil level, make sure its not overfilled? As for wheels, dont you think the steering will be screwed with 9.5" wide front wheels?
heckler
I asked this question when I got mine, reply was - "cant be done"
turbobungle
With regards to the blue smoke, a mate of mine has said that when turbos are knackered you get white smoke rather than blue, is this normally the case? Swampy442 said it could be an oil overfill so I will check that when i get home. Are there any other reasons for blue smoke? Could it be knackered turbos or is this unlikely? Here's hoping since i've only done 3000 miles on them!!!!
heckler
blue smoke can also be broken turbos, oil seals. sorry
