jamesmark
Anyone got one of the old internal dial up 56k modems. With Setup disc to match?? (have 4 of the things here but no drivers) What version of windows are you running? It should automatically find the drivers for you. Or if you have a USB memory stick get a friend to download the drivers for you. Save you money aswell.

stevie_b
xp sp2 should already have the drivers... I agree. I've got an internal Diamond SSV (?) 56k modem: I've got the driver disk somewhere but the closest drivers will be for Windows NT4 I suspect, as it's quite old now. WinXP SP2 automatically detected it. It appears as a "Soft V90 data fax modem" in Control Panel. I'd sell it to you but I still use it very occasionally. stevie_b
This might be worth a punt: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3COM-98MA1261-INTERNAL-PCI-MODEM-56K-VOICE_W0QQitemZ230250973977QQihZ013QQcategoryZ3693QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247 (item 230250973977 in case that crazy link doesn't work). Being 3Com, I'd say it's got a fair chance of being detected by WinXP automatically.
